By clicking on request to book, you have reviewed the property information and prices and are ready to make a booking. The ‘Request to Book’ process allows you to submit your personal information, credit card details and a send a message to the Property Manager to ‘Request to book’ their property. Please note, the ‘Booking Request’ is not a confirmed booking until the Property Manager ‘Accepts’ the booking.
WHAT DO YOU NEED MY PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR?
You are required to provide your first name, surname, email, phone number and address. When the booking request is sent to the Property Manager, only your first name is shared with the Property Manager in the booking request. CAN I ASK THE PROPERTY MANAGER A QUESTION?
Yes. You can click on ‘Ask a Question’ before submitting a booking request. This will send an email to the Property Manager. Or, when you submit a Booking Request, you have the option to include your question, or even just introduce yourself. The message will be sent with the Booking Request.
WHAT HAPPEN’S WHEN I CLICK ON CONFIRM BOOKING REQUEST?
This is the final booking request page. Here we ask for your credit card information. Holidaying with Dogs uses a payment gateway called eWAY. It is an Australian owned platform that facilitates online payments between guests and Holidaying with Dogs. eWAY are PCI DSS Compliant. Read more about eWAY Technology and Security and the Holidaying with Dogs Privacy Policy.
The Property Manager is sent a notification which includes the details of when you would like to stay, the number of adults, children and dogs. They are required to review the booking request details and either ‘Accept’ or ‘Decline’ the booking request.
WHAT HAPPEN’S IF THE PROPERTY MANAGER ACCEPTS THE BOOKING?
If the Property Manager ‘Accepts’ the booking, your credit card will be charged the full amount of the booking. You will be emailed a booking confirmation. The Property Manager will be provided with your full information and contact you directly regarding access to the property and any other information relevant to your stay. If there is a refundable bond payable for the booking, this is not charged until 48 hours prior to check-in.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE PROPERTY MANAGER DECLINES THE BOOKING?
We encourage Property Managers to respond within 24 hours, but in some instances, it may be faster than this, or take slightly longer. At any time, you can cancel your Booking Request if you are concerned it is taking too long. Go to My Account > My Holidays. Alternatively, you can contact the Holidaying with Dogs team at info@holidayingwithdogs.com.au.
Shearwater at Shoal Bay is a wonderful summer and winter retreat, set in a quiet location in Shoal Bay. With a huge range of activities to enjoy swimming, surfing, fishing, para-sailing and of course, enjoying time with all the family, including 4-legged loved ones.

Shearwater Cottage 2 has 2 Queen sized bedrooms perfect for couples, family and friends. The cottage has a comfortable, sun-drenched open plan living and dining leading out to a secure and enclosed courtyard with an under-cover outdoor setting that is ideal for dining, relaxing or a BBQ at the end of the day. Facilities include free internet Wifi, Smart TV and DVDs, games as well as free Netflix. The cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen plus a separate laundry and bathroom. There is also a large garage for your car and off-street parking.
Shearwater Cottage 2 is air-conditioned and has ceiling fans throughout. All linen is supplied for a wonderfully relaxing holiday and a 'Bumper' breakfast selection is also included, full of everything for a healthy start to your stay. Your four-legged loved ones are also most welcome inside and we kindly ask owners to bring their own dog’s bedding and bowls, and that their dogs be immunised and toilet trained.

Clean and comfortable property in a great location. Breakfast was more than we expected. We loved the added touch of helpful hints (maps included) on where to find puppy friendly cafes, restaurants and beaches!

Our stay at this cottage was perfect. The little touches left by the owners made sure ourselves, along with our Groodle were welcome and comfortable. It was in a great location and it had everything we needed. The tips left about the dog friendly cafes and parks were useful. The breakfast selection was a great addition and the doggy touches were fantastic. A beautiful little cottage.

Michelle and Andrew thought of everything to make our long weekend with our two toy poodles perfect. We arrived to a beautifully welcoming and clean Cottage 2, treats for our pups and local information and maps of walks and dog friendly places. We all enjoyed the villa. The breakfast ingredients left exceeded our expectations as did the villa. We definately recommend the villa and will be looking forward to our next vacation here staying longer than a long weekend.

Cottage was very clean and welcoming with generous catering items for the 2 legged and the 4 legged doggies. Hosts were very attentive in providing directions and follow up but once on the property privacy was respected. Would definitely stay here again, dogs or not.
