About This Listing

Situated on a tranquil lane just a 100 metres from the Ovens River is Tyntynder Garden Cottage, Unit 2. You can stroll along the river to town, stopping at Jack's corner (a 5 minute walk) for a quick dip for you and your dog.

Sit back and relax in front of the log fire in the cooler months or on the back verandah during the warmer months. Bring along your four legged friend and enjoy the miles of riverside walks or you may prefer to bring your bicycle and ride the rail trail. The cottage comes with all the amenities including complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and molton brown toiletries. If you are a cyclist, we have secure lock up facilities for your bike. You can also bring your four legged friend along as the back garden is fully fenced. There is a basket of dog toys for your use while at the cottage and a special gift for anyone staying 3 nights or more during non peak periods.

There are two bedrooms in the unit. One with a king bed and the second with two king singles. Both look out onto the garden. The beds have fresh, crisp white sheets and comfortable bedding. Each bed has an electric blanket for those cooler nights.

The main part of the cottage is open planned living, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences including a dishwasher (who wants to wash dishes while on holiday). So you can cook up your own meals with the wonderful produce you picked up along the way. Or there are plenty of wonderful restaurants that you can enjoy.
The lounge has two comfy couches and the wood heater which provides a wonderful atmosphere to relax with a good book or watch a movie or TV.

The dining table accommodates 4 inside. On the deck, there is a gas BBQ with further alfresco dining while enjoying the beautiful gardens and listening to the Ovens River at the end of the lane.

There is a separate shower and bathtub in the spacious bathroom. Molton Brown toiletries have been provided for your use as well as a hair dryer and white fluffy towels.

The laundry has a washing machine, dryer, tub, iron, laundry basket and pegs. There is a shared clothes line that you can use on those sunny days.

We are very happy for your pet to come along for the trip. There are water and food bowls on the deck, doggy towels in the laundry area and some dog toys provided. Poo bags are provided in a dispenser in the back yard. Please bring your own bedding/crate. Only two dogs at a time due to council regulations.

We ask that you not leave the dogs alone in the garden or house when you go out. So we can provide you with access to dog sitters.

The cottage also caters for cyclists. There is a fully secure shed available for your bike. A bucket, brush and hose are also available. If you prefer to store your bike in the cottage, we ask that you ensure that no grease marks are left on the walls or curtains.

We are sure that you will enjoy your time at the cottage and visiting the wonderful township of Bright.

The property was excellently laid out for a getaway - the central kitchen/living area was spacious, with an amazing view. The bedrooms were also spacious, with lots of space. The fireplace was just what was needed on cold winter evenings - we used it every night and may have roasted some marshmallows :) The fenced in backyard was really great for the dog. The fact that such a nice place was available for booking with a dog was much appreciated! The pantry had some basics stocked, as well as an impressive selection of tea/coffee and hot chocolate.

This property was perfect for us and our pyrenean mountain dog. Fully fenced garden with the beautiful ovens river and pine plantation just a minutes walk from the back gate. Beautifully appointed but low maintenance for dog owners, clean, cozy and warm, bright, pretty, modern and with a lovely view of the garden from the living room. Easy couple of minutes drive into town or you can also take the beautiful walk along delaney avenue, along the river, or through the pines into town. Susan was so welcoming in her correspondence with us and we so appreciate finding accommodation that doesn't simply tolerate dogs but welcomes and loves them and provides accommodation that actually caters for them. Thank you. Look forward to a coming back.

This is just a perfect place for a weekend, week or whatever. Lovely touch with the doggie show bag. Brilliant Accommodation very safe for dogs and lovely walks into Bright. The feel is relaxing - great BBQ - it is well managed and offers everything you would ever need - A must stay for Bright - if you are looking for a quality place for you and your fur kids -this is it. We stayed 2 days as it was all the time we had but we will be back for longer next time - Thanks to Sarah from Holidaying with Dogs for her professionalism and great management of the property and our booking.

Fabulous property to stay at. We were welcomed with a lovely gift bag full of puppy treats (which they loved, thank you!) Easy to access and has the most beautiful walks out the back of the property. Can't recommend this place enough, so pet friendly, especially lying in front of the fire on a cold wet evening. Thank you for the hospitality, we will be back!!

We had a great 2 nights and where thrilled at how the cottage was so comfortable and accommodating for our 5yo chocolate lab. Beautiful secure garden and so close to the river for a swim and great walking track. It was a lovely way to spend our Christmas day. Thank you for the doggy treat bag and the squeaky Christmas toy. The other toys in the basket were such a hit too. We're coming back very soon.

The location was fantastic, just 100 metres to the river and walks either side of it in both directions make it probably the best place in Bright to stay for dog walking purposes. The accomodation was clean and bright and had just about everything you could need. However, it was the most uncomfortable bed we had ever slept in - may as well have been sleeping on the wooden floor it was so hard - the single beds were the same. After three nights of hoping we'd get used to it (and becoming incredibly tired from been able to have so little sleep because we were so uncomfortable), we ended up going to the camping shop and buying and inflatable mattress for the rest of our stay. Such a shame as it was great in so many other ways. One other thing to consider is the proximity of the neighbouring cottages, they are very close which you can't really tell from the photos on the website.
