Emerald Beach House has a great location set up above the street and is very close to the surfing beach. We are proud of our reputation as "doggy heaven" - a fully-fenced grassy backyard, close proximity to the off-leash beach and tastefully furnished interior coupled with astonishing, panoramic views of the coast and hinterland mean the whole family will feel right at home.
Accommodation is on the one level, although there are two flights of steps up to the house from the street. The living and dining areas are generous, there are 2 bedrooms, 2 toilets and a shower , kitchen and a large tiled laundry.
The main bedroom is furnished with a quality queen-size bed and the large second bedroom has twin beds and a foldout ottoman - it can comfortably accommodate up to 3 children or 2 adults. The living area has a reverse cycle air-conditioner and there is a ceiling fan in each bedroom.
At the rear of the house is a tiled laundry which leads out with level access to the fully fenced rear garden. There is also an outside shower for washing off sand and saltwater. Our part-time manager uses the small, completely separate, flat on the lower level.
Emerald Beach itself is a small village with two great restaurants, a pizzeria (great for the kids), general store, café, hairdresser and bottle shop.
Supermarkets and larger shops are close by at Woolgoolga and Moonee, while Coffs Harbour is about 20km south.
Award-winning Surf St Cafe (formerly Saltwater Cafe and Restaurant) is a moment away, and has been recommended by the Good Food Guide for several years ("...a relaxed and stylish vibe..."). Check opening hours and book to avoid disappointment.
Highly regarded "La Hacienda 101" has authentic mexican food (booking recommended her as well) and there is a great general store (with a good selection of DVDs and takeaway food), Pizza & Pasta restaurant and bottle shop.
There is also a fabulous hole in the Wired for Coffee is a hole-in the wall café open early 7 days - excellent coffee and well sourced cafe treats and produce (located on the main street between Hacienda 101 and the Pizza & Pasta restaurant).
