We do accept pets at the retreat under the conditions outlined below. The cost of having a dog on site is $50 per pet per night.
Please read the 'growly' bit below that I am required to include in the unlikely event that problems occur due to pets:
We do stress the importance of the need to manage your pet and to ensure that he/she does not impact upon the room, the wider environment or the quality of stay of other guests. We are absolutely not people who seek to charge guests additional fees or cancel their bookings for not adhering to our very reasonable expectations, but I reserve the right to do so within the frameworks of managing the integrity of our property and the right to a good stay for you and all other guests residing here. We have only ever had to apply penalties on one occasion due to a complete lack of awareness and respect, which more than likely contributed to our now being more stringent and explicit with our expectations.
As a matter of legalities, I do need to share with you that penalties will be incurred should damages, odors, hair in linen/mats, excessive mess or adverse impacts upon the environment or the stays of others occur. Please ensure that your pet has a blanket or a sheet etc underneath it when sitting on mats etc at all times and animals are not permitted on beds or furniture. It may be worthwhile rolling mats up to avoid problems. If your dog is excessively noisy and you don't feel that you can manage that noise for the most part across your stay, it may be best NOT to have your animal here. Animals need to be taken outside and away from common areas for toileting and all waste is to be collected and placed in bins.
Thank you for your understanding and awareness that we are striving to provide an experience for pet owners as well, whilst not diminishing our retreat or the experience that people have here - thank you!
Sorry about that, but I do need to maintain this in writing and I do very much love animals - we have our very own staffy terrorist - and the right for guests to bring their additional family members up here to paradise on the mountain.
