We found Songbird Lodge very good on all criteria and the owner (Karen) was super-friendly & helpful. The house was spotlessly clean and there were lots of 'extras'. The only reasons we didn't give top ratings on all criteria were(i) the secure yard was perfect for our lazy old Lab but might be a little small for a large energetic dog and (ii) the angle of the driveway to the road (coupled with the neighbour's van being parked right next to it 24/7) made reversing onto the street during busy times a bit daunting. These two tiny negatives were far outweighed by the many positives and we would definitely stay again.

We had a fabulous stay at Songbird Lodge. It is very modern with a nice deck and small garden. Very clean and quiet. Was small drive to local dog beach which was a favourite for our pup. Great location. Owner was very helpful, we would definitely stay again.

Best little home away from home! Nice modern quiet, secure, well cleaned and looked after property, that has everything you need or want during your stay. Very pet friendly with extra goodies left for the fur kids! Hosts go above and beyond to make you feel welcome on arrival, lots of extra goodies left for the humans too! Due to Covid we never got to meet our hosts but they are warm and welcoming, right from booking. The extra effort from the hosts just makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable, hopefully next stay we will get to meet.

Karen was an excellent host and Songbird Lodge was perfect for us and our two golden retrievers. The house was clean and comfortable and Karen left some very considerate touches - a loaf of raisin toast, some biscuits and milk in the fridge, and treats for the fur babies. The property was close to dog beaches, cafes and Pacific Fair. We would definitely stay here again when holidaying on the Gold Coast!

Check in and communication were excellent. We loved the little touches like milk and bread waiting for us. The house had everything we wanted for cooking meals and the beds were huge. Sitting on the balcony in the late afternoon sipping a wine was a delight. We would definitely stay here again.

Karen's house was great for our week long stay. Close to supermarkets and walking distance to nice parks and Brickworks. Very suitable for our fur baby, quiet street and high fences.

The property was lovely and very pet friendly, was just like being in our own home. Our host was very responsive, and we appreciated the little added extras, biscuits, chocolates, bread, milk and even a gift for our pups. The toaster died and our host delivered a new one the same day. I was actually nice to stay a little way out of the hustle and bustle during Christmas/New Year period.
