Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation
Note: Variances can be agreed on but only by arrangement with the owner in writing.
- The person ("the Guest") making the booking must stay in the Property and will be held responsible for the conduct of all guests and visitors. The Property is let for holiday purposes only for the period stated in this Booking Confirmation Email and for a maximum of 8 persons. Exceeding the maximum numbers will render the Guest liable to immediate cancellation of the booking and the Security Bond will be forfeited.
- A deposit of 25% of the rental tariff (excluding Bond) is to be paid to secure the Property. Non- payment of this deposit will be deemed to be a cancellation of the booking.
- The balance of payment and the Security Bond of $500 must be paid 14 days prior to arrival. The Bond will be refunded in full, subject to all these conditions being met.
- Cancellation of a booking more than 14 days prior to agreed check in will result in the forfeit of the full deposit paid unless the Property is re-let. If you have booked and paid via HomeAway Stayz.com, there is no refund regardless of re-booking. All changes and cancellations must be in writing. Cancellation of a booking less than 14 days prior to agreed check in will result in forfeiture of the full tariff if it has already been paid.
- Failure to comply with the Terms and Conditions may result in charges against the Security Bond. Reasons for a claim against the Security Bond may include, but are not limited to: damage or breakage; excess garbage removal or cleaning requirements; and late check out.
- Guests and Visitors must respect the residential amenity and security of the Property and neighbours and refrain from anti-social behaviour. At all times you are required not to interfere, or cause or permit interference, with the reasonable peace, comfort or privacy of the neighbours. If this occurs and we receive a complaint your bond may be forfeited and, if needed, the police will be called.
- The Property is not a "party house" and any such activities are strictly prohibited. Any gathering, celebration or entertainment permitted at the Property must not conflict with residential amenity and must comply with all House Rules. The Property is not to be tenanted for Schoolies.
- Guests must notify the Owners of any disputes or complaints as soon as is practicable.
- Smoking is not permitted on the property.
- Dogs are welcome inside the house, but are not permitted on the furniture inside. Please clean up fully after your dog both inside and out. If extra cleaning is required after the stay, or damage has been occasioned by the dog, the cleaning or repair costs will be deducted from the Security Bond. Any dog poo left uncollected outside will incur a charge against the Bond. PLEASE NOTE - if your dog is nervous or anxious you must keep your dog with you at all times to ensure there is no damage to doors or floors caused by scratching. Any damage occasioned by your dog scratching floors, walls or doors may result in charges against the Bond, depending on the severity of the damage.
- All damages, breakage or losses to the Property, furniture and furnishings are to be reported to the Owners. Should you discover a fault or breakage when you arrive please also advise the Owners immediately so as to avoid any question as to responsibility. Any damages and extra cleaning, beyond normal wear and tear, will be deducted from the Security Bond.
- The premises are available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival and are to be vacated no later than 10.00am on the day of departure (unless pre- arrangements have been made).
- The Property is to be left in a clean and tidy condition. Dishes, pots and pans etc. are to be washed, the dishwasher emptied, and everything put back into cupboards. Failure to do so will incur a charge for extra cleaning which will be deducted from your Security Bond.
- The BBQ plates and general surface areas are to be cleaned if used. The drip tray underneath is to be emptied. A cleaning fee will apply if the BBQ is not left clean.
- The disposal of all rubbish generated from your stay is your responsibility and we ask that you dispose of it in the correct bins provided outside. If you have extra rubbish please take it with you on your departure or any charges incurred in the removal of extra rubbish will be passed on. The Waste Collection service for the house is Thursday morning. If your tenancy includes a Wednesday night, rubbish bins should be left on the street on Wednesday night and returned to the house after waste collection on Thursday.
- All doors and windows are to be securely locked upon departure. If this is not done and the Property is damaged or entered due to failure to secure the Property, any costs incurred will be deducted from the Security Bond.
- Lost keys – Two sets of keys are provided upon arrival. A $50 fee will be charged if a set of keys is lost.
- Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenant’s responsibility during their stay.
- No provision can or will be made for relocation if the Property is deemed unsatisfactory on arrival. No refund is given if you are not satisfied with your accommodation.
- The Owners will endeavour to have any repairs to appliances attended to as soon as possible after reporting of same. However, due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. having to order parts or non- availability of trade's people) the immediate repair may be beyond our control. No responsibility is accepted by the Owners for these unforeseen circumstances. There will be no refunds or discounts deducted from tariff for unusable appliances awaiting repair.
- The Owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances
