You’ve done the Noosa “sea change”, now try a “tree change” at Cooroy Country Cottages. Escape the city and coastal crowds, inflated costs, congestion and noise for a quiet secluded holiday set amongst 97 private acres of rural Noosa native forests and wildlife with changing mountain and valley views. Luxury modern 2 & 3 bedroom cottages, plus a 3 roomed 1 bedroom Studio Suite, fully self-contained with queen beds, complete kitchens, reverse cycle air\heat, DVD, private laundry, BBQ, patio, carport, verandahs and more await. It’s perfect for that romantic getaway, business retreat or family celebration. We have been pet-friendly since our December, 2000 opening and understand how pets are family members. The Cooroora cottage offers disabled and wheelchair guest access and facilities.
Cooroy Country Cottages is centrally located for easy Bruce Highway or Queensland Rail train access for day trips in all directions . You can be on the Noosa and ocean beaches or explore the Sunshine Coast popular tourist attractions, (Eumundi and Yandina Markets, Noosa Farners market on Sundays, Yandina Ginger Factory, Underwater World, Australia Zoo, Aussie World, Big Cart track , Montville and others) within a thirty minute drive or be at Brisbane’s CBD or airport within a 1 ½ hours drive.
Despite its raised appearance (due to being built into a hillslope), the two bedroom Federation cottage (cottage #2) is a single floor. Access from the private entrance path is either via a stairway to the front verandah or via a continued sloped paved pathway to the rear verandah gate, making it also accessible and suitable for elderly guests. The full carpeting (apart from the tiled bathroom and open kitchen area) may be a possible concern for some guests with very young children or unfamiliar pets. Both of the two bedrooms are located in the shaded forested back of the cottage, as is the interior formal dining area, each with private access to the surrounding rear verandah. The front verandah, lounge, kitchen and bathroom have direct views toward Mt. Cooroora.
Each of the two bedrooms contains one queen bed, so the cottage accommodates four guests (with an available single rollaway bed added for a possible fifth guest). The bathroom has a shower\tub combination.
The Federation cottage has a gated verandah which surrounds three sides of the cottage. Outdoor seating is also provided on both the front and rear verandahs. The gated verandah not only serves to keep young children close and safe, but also can serve as a temporary kennel for accompanying pets when guests are away from the cottage.
The swimming pool is situated at the managers residence and is available for guests. Free WiFi is also available around the pool area but not in the cottage. We ask that you call us on the cottage phone so we can have a few minutes to get the pool cover off before your arrival (to stop dehydration) as we are on rainwater supply.
A small (unfenced) private yard area is available, in addition to the extensive gardens which surround and assure privacy, in addition to each cottage being situated approximately 50 metres apart. The cottage’s private parking area includes a double carport, but does involve a short walk from the carport to the cottage along the private pathway.
