Boogoodoo is a "Grand Design" style home set on more than 20 acres on a peninsula in to Westernport Bay, near the Phillip Island bridge. There are sea views to the north, south and west and the house has been designed to take it all in. It's one of a kind. Offering up to 6 people a rare coastal experience. With water to 3 sides every window has a sea view.
Boogoodoo is short for Boogoodoogada which means Rainbird in an Aboriginal dialect. The house design reflects this with it's unique glass beak staring out to sea.
This 20 acre waterfront conservation haven is a private peninsula and home to beautiful sea birds, land birds and wildlife with a remarkable, sculptural dwelling which is the occasional home of a creative couple. Designed with a renowned architect and built by the owners, so attention to detail has been paramount.
Opposite the Phillip Island bridge, Boogoodoo features panoramic 270° sea views from the house that include other islands such as French, Churchill and Elizabeth plus the wild side of Mornington Peninsula and the Corinella cliffs. Add rural vistas and the Bass hills and you feel much further than 90 mins from Melbourne CBD. Phillip Island and Kilcunda surf beaches are 12 minutes from the front gate. Visit the penguins and all The Island can offer.
Roam the private beach at gardens edge plus kilometres of shoreline beyond. Cross the garden in another direction and there lies an island that can be reached on foot at low tide for a beautiful nature walk. At high tide you can take our 2 person canoe and 1 person kayak for a paddle around that island or up the Bass River. Relax and enjoy the twinkling lights of villages around the bay at night from an artists retreat.
The big living/dining room has a spacious, well thought out kitchen with euro appliances so cooking for a handful of friends or family is fun. There is also a TV lounge with smaller dining table and covered deck with BBQ. Master with ensuite is off the big living area whilst through the giant sliding door the double and twin bedrooms plus shower room are off the TV lounge.

Boogoodoo also offers your horse a holiday at certain times of year with quality agistment next door and a section of beach for riding and swimming with a sand roll. Please ask re other pets.
Depending on the season Boogoodoo is home to as many as 1000 black swans plus raptors and many species of land and sea birds including migratory birds that fly 12,000km between here and Antarctica. BYO binoculars to see the shy ones.You may also see kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, wombats or small native species so go slow down the drive. There is always something to see regardless of the season.
As well as beach walks Boogoodoo has its own tracks to meander along.
Stay in and watch a dvd or play a game or turn off the lights to watch electrical storms over Melbourne and South Gippsland. Enjoy the massive sky with amazing cloud formations, stunning sunrises, sunsets and starry nights. Natures stunning backdrop provides inspiration for artists, photographers, writers or those who just want to relax.
This is NOT a party house so is not available for those who want more than a few visitors, to partake in noisy pursuits, wild cavortings or hooning around.
However, if you love and respect wildlife and seek a place to unwind, enjoy a slower pace of life, laughter and simple pleasures with loved ones then Boogoodoo will be perfect for you.
