The grown ups can enjoy the front of the house while the kids and dogs make the most of the back. The centre of town is within walking distance, as is Lake Daylesford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We did one better and enjoyed the walk around it. It is an easy 2.8 km walk for all fitness levels, even for our older pooches. We know it’s all about your dogs while on holiday, but even humans need sustenance at some point. The good news is there are plenty of people friendly things to do in and around Daylesford where dogs are welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- Caf\u00e9 Koukla<\/a> \u2013 This caf\u00e9 is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If with your dog, you can enjoy your meal outside. The staff are really attentive and quick to offer them a drink of water. Or you can dine inside by the fire on a cold and wintery day.<\/li>
- Wine and the Country<\/a> \u2013 So much delicious wine to choose from. They have an amazing selection of wines by the glass that can be enjoyed with a cheese and charcuterie, or you can BYO food from one of the local takeaway restaurants.<\/li>
- The Farmers Arms<\/a> \u2013 One of the great country pubs, the Farmers Arms is a warm and welcoming spot to enjoy a cold beer, glass of wine or outstanding meal. They have a courtyard where dogs are welcome too.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

It is set on 50 acres, so plenty of room to explore. Hazel had a wonderful time sniffing around. <\/p>\n\n\n\nThere is a fantastic play area for kids including a cubby house, swings, monkey bars and a trampoline. In the warmer weather you can sit out on the deck and enjoy watching the sunset. During the colder months, sit around the firepit and toast marshmallows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s sweeping verandah is a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the surrounding bush. <\/p>\n\n\n\nDownstairs the open plan layout offers a fully equiped kitchen, lounge area and dining room table with an open fire and cooling. There’s also a dedicated spa room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The vibrant village of Hepburn Springs is just a short drive away, offering cafes, restaurants and the iconic Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Daylesford Cider Company<\/a>: On arrival you will walk through a perfectly manicured hedge to reveal an expansive garden and english style tavern. Your dog is free to roam off lead and play with any other dogs, or sit quietly under your table while you sample the different ciders on offer. They have 17 varieties of English-heritage listed apples that are grown organically on the farm just outside Daylesford.<\/li>
- Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm<\/a>: The gardens at Lavandula Farm deliver something beautiful no matter the season. Cafe La Trattoria<\/a> is located on the grounds and provides a simple seasonal and local menu. Eat outdoors with your pooch under the ash trees.<\/li>
- Trentham Falls<\/a>: These falls are one of the longest drop waterfalls in Victoria and definately worth a visit. Pack a picnic and enjoy lunch in the surround areas or walk with your dog to take in the view.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
