When you’re glamping, there’s no tent to pitch and no sleeping bag to unroll.

Our luxurious African safari-style tents have been created with the luxuries of hotel accommodation alongside the escapism and adventure of camping. Glamping has never felt so good. Inside you will find a beautiful and super comfortable bed. The bathroom is large and modern and the oversized shower includes a dual shower head. Your kitchen has a full sized fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. On the deck there are some outdoor settings and your own BBQ.

We have six safari tents. Three of the tents have partial water views, and two have a king bed. Glamping in our luxury safari tents is warm in winter with electric heating, soft and warm blankets and an electric blanket. In summer the south coast climate and sea breezes and quiet wall fan keep you cool.
Lie back and relax on one of the day beds or ecofurn chairs as the sun goes down then maybe hang out at the fire pit. In the morning enjoy watching the sunrise over breakfast on your deck.

Small children and dogs are welcome in your tent and we can add up to two trundle or camp beds at an additional charge. Dog or no dog you will find your accommodation spotlessly clean

Please note: the tent hold an absolute maximum of 2 adults and children 3 - 12 can stay in beds that we set up for $30 per child per night.

Please note, we don't allow arrivals or departures on a public holiday.

Terms and Conditions

Cancellation Policy
- The guest can cancel free of charge up to seven days before arrival (or 28 days in the case of a long term or group booking or for stays during school holidays or long weekends).
- The guest will be charged the total price if they cancel within 7 days of arrival (or 28 days in the case of a long term or group booking or for stays during school holidays or long weekends), do not show on the day of scheduled arrival, or depart earlier than the scheduled day of departure. When accommodation is resold for the same period a refund will be issued up to the same resold value but not exceeding the original guest’s charge.
- If a stay is affected by government-issued travel restrictions the guest can cancel anytime free of charge the full stay (or if already staying, the remaining portion of the stay).

General Terms and Conditions
You agree:
- Not to make unreasonable noise at any time, particularly after 10pm
- To practice NSW Health's requirements of 1.5m physical distancing and personal hygiene including a maximum or 2 people (and use of the hand sanitiser) in the shared laundry and a maximum of 10 people around each firepit. Surveillance cameras are in use.
- If you become unwell with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 to immediately get tested and stay in your accommodation or return to your home until you have received the test result
- External visitors are allowed during daylight hours only and subject to capacity limits of one person per 4 square metres
- Up to 2 dogs are welcome in each cabin, safari tent or house but not in bedrooms. Restricted breed dogs; dogs declared dangerous or menacing; or nuisance dogs are not permitted
- Dogs must be under control and well-behaved, are not permitted on furniture or in bedrooms and may not be left unattended at any time. Dog are not to be fed or given water inside accommodation and must be cleaned up after
- Failure to meet any of the above may result in your stay being terminated and payment taken for the full booking
- Accommodation must be left clean, tidy and vacated by 10am on the day of departure
- No refunds for early departures
- Any charge for services to you, or any damage, extra cleaning or loss to our accommodation or equipment at South Coast Retreat for which you are responsible, that are not billed at the time of your departure may be charged to the same credit card used to pay your account or to the credit card used to guarantee payment of your account

South coast Retreat was incredibly disappointing!! We arrived to a uncleaned not working BBQ. The deck was uncleaned, grease coved most of the deck. My daughter was unable to play to the deck, had to place a blanket down so my daughter was able to play with her toys. The tent was damaged, the front zip did not seal as there was also some holes in the tent. Mosquitoes during the night where unbearable as unable to seal the tent. The bathroom was not clean. Our stay was for 7 nights, we had to ask for clean bedding and towels. The photos on the website do not represent what you are receiving. The tent had a strong odour of smoke. For the price you pay I expected more!!! We ended up leaving early as it was not an enjoyable stay.
