Cathy's Cottage welcomes all couples and their beloved four-legged friends with beautiful 360-degree views overlooking an open vista of trees and sweeping grassy hills where dogs love to run around, off-leash.
Inside the cosy, self-contained cottage, you'll find all the amenities needed to make your stay as comfortable and special as possible, regardless of the weather. The reverse-cycle air conditioner in the slate-floored living room is quiet and efficient, while the pot belly stove provides a wonderful ambience during the cooler weather. All linen is provided, as well as electric blankets.
In the kitchen, you'll find pots and pans for cooking up a storm while you gaze out over the beautiful, undisturbed views of ancient gums and bushland. The kitchen opens onto a half-covered patio with a BBQ and comfortable sofa where you can watch the birds and kangaroos.
The charming courtyard is also enclosed by a wire and picket fence where you can secure your dogs while you visit the restaurants and wineries.
Beautiful views can also be enjoyed from the double bedroom as well as the separate living room. Many guests love to watch the sun go down from the front verandah before retiring to the back patio where they can wander out of the little gate to the fire pit area with a dry creek at the bottom of the hill a few metres away.
The birdlife is abundant and kangaroos are frequent visitors.
Foxtel provides inside entertainment while outdoors, guests can take advantage of abundant firewood for the bonfire on the slope between the cottage and the creek bed.
A key is left in the door from 3 PM onwards and vacation is by 11:00 AM on day of departure.
So, bring along your loved ones - your friends, family and furry four-legged friends ... and enjoy the wide-open spaces and all the charm of Bronte Manor!
Please note that during long weekends, there is a three-night minimum.
We offer total seclusion, fresh country air and tuneful birdlife. Also, firewood for two nights to use in the pot belly stove or in the fire pit. An extra 15 pieces of good burning wood is an additional $20 which you can order before 12 noon.
Many a wonderful evening has been spent at Cathy's Cottage sampling the local vintages while enjoying a BBQ - gas in summer or wood-fired in winter. Not another building distracts the eye while many meandering walks can be enjoyed through the thousands of trees.
Everything is on one level so it's a favourite for those who can't access stairs.
If Cathy's Cottage sounds like the wonderful country escape you're looking for, then we look forward to welcoming you.
