The Indoor Space
There are four bedrooms and two large bathrooms (with claw-foot baths and shower) on either side of the baronial living room with open fireplace. Two bedrooms are very large and can easily sleep additional camp beds and/or portacots. The large kitchen is very well equipped with full oven and gas stove top, plenty of entertaining platters and cookware, and opens onto a slate terrace with beautiful valley views. Two of the queen bedrooms also have French doors with the same uninterrupted valley views.
Eat dinner at the long, Baronial table in the living room, or around the dining table on the slate terrace. There's a BBQ there, and wonderful sunsets to enjoy.
Bring your bikes to ride the nearby Riesling Trail or around the large property, or a kite to fly on the grassy hill in front of Bronte Manor.
Firewood for two nights is provided, so enjoy a blazing open fire indoors, a BBQ on either the front or back terrace, or a bonfire in the outside fire pit. The large fire pit is near cosy, self-contained Heathcliff Cabin which is a few metres away from the main house and used when there are single groups with more than 8. There is also an additional fold-out bed (and portacot and camp bed) available for extra children, when needed.
Guest access
Bronte Manor is perched on the hill and you will have access to the entire 80acre property (except, of course, the two other cottages which are 100m and 200m away, respectively).
Other things to note
The house is popular for family gatherings, writers' retreats, reunions and Murder Mystery parties.
The large kitchen has an extensive array of pots and pans, slow cookers and decorative serving platters for parties.
During winter, the fire pit outside is very popular for toasting marshmallows and looking at the star-studded sky.
So, bring along your loved ones - your friends, family and furry four-legged friends ... and enjoy the wide-open spaces and all the charm of Bronte Manor!
Please note that during long weekends, there is a three-night minimum/4-guest minimum. During regular weekends and weeknights there is a weekend minimum of four guests.
