Maeburn Cottages are located a short stroll to the pristine waters of Lake King in Metung, an up-market fishing village on the spectacular Gippsland Lakes in Victoria, which form the largest inland waters in Australia.
Local shops in Metung Village include a general store, pharmacy depot, post office, information centre, realestates, gift shops, boutique clothing, pub, takeaway pizzaria, gourmet restaurants and cafes. Weekend farmers market on the Village Green once a month. 20 min to Lakes Entrance and Bairnsdale for shopping and entertainment.
The property is set in an acre of established gardens, amidst native trees that play home to a large number of rare bird species. Indeed, twitchers can enjoy identifying more than 130 varieties of birdlife. The luxury self-catering family-style holiday cottages are positioned for privacy and offer quality furnishings throughout with your comfort in mind, plenty of adjacent parking with ample room for the boat and trailer. Each cottage has a ramp for easy wheelchair access. Maeburn's country retreat truly is a home away from home.
