Hideaway Cottage is hidden away in total seclusion in a picturesque valley. Surrounded by rolling coastal landscape, Hideaway captures the early morning light and has self-contained kitchen and a separate bedroom with Queen-size bed. There is a covered verandah around the cottage and a BBQ with picnic table outside.
Shearwater Cottages offer premium, pet-friendly, accommodation in Cape Otway. Pets are allowed inside the cottages and there is plenty of space on our 30 acres for them to walk, as well as lots of other beach and forest walks in the area. We supply dog beds, blankets and towels for those muddy feet, along with water and food bowls. Dogs can walk around the property with their owners off the leash, but the individual cottages are not fenced in. There is a lovely verandah for relaxing and Hideaway Cottage has it's own picnic table and play area ideal for dogs.
Our cottages allow you to immerse yourself in the all that the Otways offer, with the creature comforts of home to retire to after your adventures. Step outside your cosy cottage to find wildlife in its pristine natural habitat, including native kangaroos, koalas, echidnas & a rich selection of bird life. Stroll along secluded ocean beaches, trackside the Great Ocean Walk, travel only four minutes to the Cape Otway Lightstation or take in one of the many attractions the Great Ocean Road offers. We are 30 minutes from Marengo and Apollo Bay - both of which have dog friendly beaches and walks.
